Training given to ASHA/Health worker at Kamalanagar for enrolment under Mizoram Health Care Scheme

Kamalanagar, 30 September, 2020:ย ย ย  The Community Health Centre, Chawngte today organised training for the ASHA and Health Workers of Chakma Autonomous District Council area for enrolment under Mizoram State Health Care Scheme. The ASHAs and health workers have been urged to aggressively campaign for a universal enrolment.

The training programme was held in the Conference Hall of CADC Rest House, Kamalanagar which was conducted by DR. Vantea , MO ย  (State health care society) in the presence of Dr. H. Thangliana, Medical Officer, CHC, Chawngte.ย 

The Mizoram State Health Care Scheme is a health insurance scheme implemented by the Mizoram State Health Care Society, Government of Mizoram since 2008. Under the scheme a beneficiary can claim medical expenses for reimbursement upto Rs.2 Lakh. The scheme covers almost all the illnesses including referral cases, pre-existing conditions and ailments, maternity and there is no age restriction.ย 

The policy card remains valid for one year which can be renewed every year. Enrolment for the upcoming period w.e.f 1st October, 2020 to 30th September, 2021 shall start from September 2020 till 31st December, 2020. The existing policy card holders of 2019-2020 shall have to renew their cards before 31st December, 2020.ย 

All AAY and BPL family ration card holders are eligible for availing the benefit of the scheme. APL family ration card holders who cannot avail MR Bill from the government are also eligible for the scheme. The Golden card holders under AB-PMJAY (Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana) can also enroll for the scheme.

The BPL card holders can enroll against payment of just Rs.100 while the APL card holders need to enroll for Rs.1000.

SDO(C), Chawngte calls meeting on implementation of the Mizoram (Containment and Prevention of Covid-19) Ordinance, 2020

Kamalanagar, 04 May, 2020: Pu S. Kaptluanga, SDO(C), Chawngte in a meeting attended by representatives of CADC, Health Department, Police Department, Intelligence Department, local NGO leaders and VLTFs of Kamalanagar town area and Chawngte area called for implementation of the Mizoram (Containment and Prevention of Covid-19) Ordinance, 2020. The meeting also discussed restriction/prohibition to be observed during the 3rd stage lockdown announced by the government.

Mizoram Epidemic Diseases (Covid-19) Regulations 2020

In the interest of public health and safety and in excercise of the powers conferred under Section 2, 3 & 4 of the Epidemic Diseases Act, 1897 (Central Act 3 of 1897), the Government of Mizoram is pleased to issue the following temporary regulations for prevention and containment of COVID-19 (Corona Virus Disease-2019).

The Mizoram (Containment and Prevention of Covid-19) Ordinance, 2020

To contain and prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the State of Mizoram and matters connected therewith and incidental thereto.

WHEREAS the Legislative Assembly of Mizoram is not in session, and the Governor of Mizoram is satisfied that circumstances exist which render it necessary for him to take immediate action;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred by clause (1) of article 213 of the Constitution, the Governor of Mizoram is pleased to promulgate the following Ordinance,

Stranded people in the state of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur to report with Resident Commissioners

Kamalanagar, 29 April, 2020: It has been communicated that people from Mizoram stranded in the state of Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura and Manipur will be brought back home and transport facility will be arranged by the state government. People can also opt to use private vehicle on their own for the journey.

On enquiry with the official of Home Department, Mizoram it has been told that all willing persons shall have to report with the Deputy Resident Commissioner (DRC) of the nearest Mizoram House and express preference for mode of transportation (government transport/personal vehicle). Those intending to use private vehicle will have to obtain permission from the concerned DRC. The contact numbers of the Mizoram Houses at various locations in the northeast are as given below:

Those stranded in the state of Manipur will report with the YMA in the state and those in Tripura will report with the Mizo Welfare Society.

All returnees shall be screened and quarantined for 14 days on arrival at the designated quarantine centre at the district level.

NOTIFICATION

Whereas, the government of Mizoram has decided to bring back people of Mizoram stranded in different north-eastern states of India due to Covid-19 and to facilitate in this endeavour Chakma Autonomous District Council has undertook the exercise to list such Chakma people from Mizoram willing to return home.

In the exercise so undertaken 281 people have reported being stranded and willing to return home and the list was subsequently submitted to government of Mizoram for further necessary action.

The government of Mizoram in a reply letter requested that all such people (stranded in different states outside Mizoram) report in the portal โ€“ tangkhang.mizoram.gov.in – launched by it.

Therefore, I am directed to inform that all such stranded people (irrespective of whether one intends to return or not) including those who have earlier reported in the link https://forms.gle/gW48BtUDWUVo7fB68 need to report in the portal www.tangkhang.mizoram.gov.in as desired by the government of Mizoram.

CADC to facilitate return of people stranded in the Northeastern states

Kamalanagar, 15 April, 2020:ย ย ย  The Executive Committee, Chakma Autonomous District Council in its meeting held today in the morning decided to facilitate the return of Chakma people stranded in different northeastern states due to lockdown imposed throughout the country to fight Covid-19. This has come following the decision of the state government to bring back people stuck in the northeastern states.

All such people willing to return home can submit their details by accessing the link https://forms.gle/gW48BtUDWUVo7fB68 . The list of such people will be forwarded to the Mizoram government for further necessary action. The Mizoram House Liaison Officers of respective states can also be contacted to register names of persons intending to come back home as and when the state government issues order in this regards.
