Kamalanagar, 10 July, 2026: Hon’ble Chief Executive Member of the Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), Shri Nirupam Chakma, today reviewed the functioning of the Information & Public Relations (I&PR) Department at a meeting held in his Office Chamber with the staff of the department. He emphasized the critical role of the department and expressed the need for strengthening it with adequate staff.

During the meeting, the Hon’ble Chief Executive Member reviewed the department’s existing manpower position and discussed measures to strengthen its functioning in view of the increasing communication requirements of the Council. The staff apprised the Chair of the workload and challenges in carrying out responsibilities relating to media coverage, preparation of press releases and reports, photography, videography, publication work, social media management and other official functions.
The meeting resolved to strengthen the department by engaging or attaching a Reporter and an additional Computer Operator with expertise in photo and video editing from among eligible CADC employees. It also resolved to engage a dedicated staff member to manage the official social media accounts of the Council.
The Hon’ble Chief Executive Member directed the department to recommend suitable CADC employees, excluding teachers, for engagement in the Information & Public Relations Department to implement the decisions taken during the meeting.
