Shillong, 16 February 2017: Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC while representing all the three ADCs of Mizoram attended a meeting of all the Autonomous District Councils under Sixth Schedule to the Constitution held in Shillong, Meghalaya. There are ten ADCs in all under the Sixth Schedule.
The meeting discussed fund allocation to the ADCs under NITI Ayog and amendment of Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India.

The meeting informed that allocation of fund to the ADCs under NITI Ayog has been decreased to Rs.500/- Crore. In the last financial year the fund allocated to the ADCs was Rs.1000/- Crore out of which CADC got a share of Rs.4.58 Crore.

The meeting decided to send a delegation representing all the ADCs in the month of March and submit representation for enhancing the allocation to Rs.2000/- Crore.
