Aizawl, the 18th of June, 2O21.

ORDER

Whereas an order for further extension of lockdown till 21.06.2021 was issued by the Mizoram State Disaster Authority vide Order of even No. dated 12.06.2021;

And whereas, the prolonged total lockdown has affected livelihood activities, the competent authority has decided to lift certain restrictions in order to ease the hardship faced by the general public;

And whereas, new COVID-19 cases continue to remain high, it is also decided to re-open activities in a staggered manner so as to strike a balance between economic activities and disease containment measures thereby preventing further escalation of COVID-19 cases.

Therefore, the undersigned in his capacity as Chairman, State Executive Committee, and in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 22(2)(h) & 24 (l) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 hereby orders that guidelines appended hereto shall be scrupulously implemented with effect from 4:00 AM of 21.06.2021 till 4:00 AM of 30.06.2021.

ORDER

Whereas an order for the continuation of lockdown had been issued vide Order of even No. dated 05.06.2021;

And whereas, new COVID-19 cases continue to remain high, it has been decided to continue with the current restrictions imposed to prevent further escalation of COVID-19 cases.

Therefore, the undersigned in his capacity as Chairman, State Executive Committee, and in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 22(2)(h) & 24 (l) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 hereby orders that guidelines appended hereto shall be scrupulously implemented with effect from 4:00 AM of 14.06.2021 till 4:00 AM of 21.06.2021.

ORDER

Whereas, the Mizoram State Disaster Management Authority has issued an order for the prevention and containment of further surge of COVID-19 outbreak vide Order of even No. dated 29.05.2021;

And whereas, COVID-19 positive cases have not declined and the number of COVID-19 casualties is increasing in recent days, it is felt necessary to continue with the current restrictions imposed for curtailing peopleโ€™s movement and activities with the purpose of containing further spread of COVID-19;

Therefore, the undersigned in his capacity as Chairman, State Executive Committee, and in exercise of the powers conferred under Section 22(2)(h) & 24(l) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005 hereby orders that lockdown guidelines issued vide Order of even No. dated 29.05.2021 shall continue to be strictly implemented till 4:00 AM of 14.06.2021.

CEM, CADC pays on the spot visit of fire accident

Kamalanagar, 05 June, 2021:ย Dg. Durjya Dhan Chakma, CEM, CADC accompanied by his colleague Dg. Lakhan Chakma, Executive Member, CADC i/c Relief & Rehabilitation, etc. visited the place of fire accident to assess the extent of damage caused. The accident took place last night at around 3 am in the bazar area of Kamalanagar town leaving two houses razed to the ground and causing partial damage to nearby buildings.

The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained which has originated from the house of Mrs. Snehadini Talukdar who runs a restaurant in the house. The fire raged so fast that the four tenants living in the house could not salvage anything.

The AJR Hardware shop owned by Dg. Anulal Tongchangya is the other casualty who have suffered a huge loss. It is estimated that hardware goods worth about Rs.70 lakhs was destroyed in the accident.

The inferno left three two wheelers parked on the road side completely burnt.

The CEM, CADC announced emergency relief of Rs.15,000 to each of the house owners, Rs.10,000 to each of the tenants and Rs.5,000 to each of the owners of the two wheelers out of CEM Relief Fund.

Dg. Anil Kanti Chakma, MDC elected as Deputy Chairman, CADC

Kamalanagar, 04 June, 2021: Dg. Anil Kanti Chakma, MDC was elected today the Deputy Chairman, Chakma Autonomous District Council. The post has remained vacant since Dg. Mohesh Boran Chakma resigned from the post on 21 April this year.

He was the lone candidate who has filed nomination for election to the post yesterday and was declared elected uncontested today in a sitting of the Chakma Autonomous District Council held in its Session Hall.

Dg. Anil Kanti Chakma contested and won the CADC General Election 2018 from 4-Bajeisora MDC Constituency with BJP ticket who later joined the MNF party. This is his second term as MDC the other being the 8th CADC from 2008-2013.

Todayโ€™s election was held observing Covid-19 protocols and guidelines with prior permission from the Deputy Commissioner, Lawngtlai.

Taking into consideration the emerging situation due to COVID and the necessity to fortify the existing VLTFs and police force, officials as shown in the Annexure are hereby directed to perform duty at the place s and time indicated each name with effect from 1st June, 2021.

  1. Willful dereliction of duty will result in penal action.
  2. All personnel on duty must ensure strict compliance with safety guidelines issued by the competent authority.
  3. Executive duty report must be submitted in a timely manner.
  4. Functionaries recruited for executive duty must discharge their duties on all days of the week.

Total Lockdown within Chawngte Sub-Divison

Total Lockdown has been imposed within the Chawngte Sub-Division w.e.f. 31/05/2021 to 07/06/2021 due to COVID-19.

  1. No one should leave oneโ€™s own house/compound. Tenants of the same building should not visit each other.
  2. Those who need to buy medicines, consult doctors or buy essential commodities must take permit from the VLTFs. VLTFs should make arrangement for supply of essential commodities.
  3. Vehicles except those exempted will not be allowed to ply within the area.

In pursuit of resolution adopted in a sub-division level meeting on COVID-19 conducted on 29/05/2021, VLTFs are hereby informed to take following measures within their jurisdiction and impose such penalties as shown against each column to contain the further spread of Covid-19 with immediate effect.
