He remarked that the outcome of the recently concluded election was a strong message to the political leaders by the public. Two-thirds of the members of the previous term could not get themselves re-elected. This signifies the desire of the people for good governance and that they are willing to change their representatives if they do not perform. He welcomed the new members to work for the welfare of the people and fulfill the aspirations of the people they represent.

He mentioned that a MNF government is a symbol of good governance, development and responsive to the aspirations of the people. Hence, β€œthe first priority of his government shall be good and inclusive governance”.

Another positive development, he mentioned was the election of Dg. Nirupam Chakma, former Minister & MLA into CADC as a member of the district council. He is the senior most politician and a source of vast experience in the field. His experience shall be a boon for CADC if it could be utilized effectively.
