State Public Information Officers (SPIOs)
In pursuance of the directive received from General Administration & Control Department, Government of Mizoram vide L/No. F.14011/2/2012-GAD(RTI) date Aizawl, the 25th January 2021, the Executive Committee of Chakma Autonomous District Council is pleased to appoint the following State Public Information Officers (SPIOs) in all the Department of CADC as per Section 5(1) of the RTI ACT, 2005 to provide information under the Act.

In excercise of the powers conferred under Rule 30 of Chakma Autonomous District Council (Constitution, Conduct of Business etc.) Rules, 2020 and as amended from time to time, the portfolios among the members of the Executive Committee of the 10th Chakma Autonomous District Council are allocated as shown below with immediate effect.
CEM Calls Meeting Of All Contractors Of CSS Works
Kamalanagar 3 August, 2016: The CEM, CADC Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya called a meeting of all the contractors of on-going CSS works within CADC area to take stock of the status of work progress. The CADC Works Advisory Board headed by the Executive Secretary, CADC also attended the meeting.
Reports on the works under Modernization of Kamalanagar Town, blacktopping of Longpuighat-Kukurduleya road, construction of New CADC Secretariat, CADC Session Hall and CADC Cultural Hall were discussed. Continue reading
Kamalanagar Town Bus Service Inaugurated
Kamalanagar, 16 July 2016: The much talked about Kamalanagar town bus service was finally kicked off by Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC from the premises of CADC secretariat.
The CEM and his colleague MDCs including officials and public took a first ride around the town to mark the inauguration of the service. The CEM while speaking on the occasion said the service will benefits all section of the people especially school and college going students.
“The parents shall be relieved of hefty taxi fare that gets incurred while dropping their children to schools and commuting between bazaar and home. Life for office goers who come from far corners of the town will be easy as well.” The two buses have been procured with fund provision from NITI Ayog.
Route and Fare For Kamalanagar Town Bus Service Declared
Kamalanagar, 14 June 2016: In a meeting with all the local NGOs including that of Chawngte L and Chawngte P, town area VCPs, SDO, (Civil), Chawngte and OC, Police Station, Chawngte in the office chamber of CEM, CADC the route and the fare for the Kamalanagar town bus service were fixed. The meeting was chaired by Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC. CADC has procured two buses for providing passenger service within Kamalanagar town and adjacent villages.
Approach Road to New Kamalanagar College Building Blacktopped
Kamalanagar, 13 June 2016: Blacktopping of the approach road to new Kamalanagar College building, located at Aratinagar, has been completed with fund provision under additional plan fund 2015-16. A amount of Rs.80.00 Lakh had been sanctioned for the work. The CEM, CADC Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya inaugurated the road on 13 June 2016.
The new Kamalanagar college building has been completed a few years back with fund provision under NLCPR. It was constructed at an estimated cost of 224.00 Lakh. The approach road being katcha was one the reasons why the new building could not be occupied. The new building is also without electrification and water connection. These basic requirements have to be provided before the College can be shifted.
The CEM, CADC while speaking on the occasion said that the DPR for the Block-B has been prepared. He said, ‘This time we will ensure the class rooms size are big enough’. He made this remark in view of the small size of the class room in the newly built structure.
CADC To Introduce Town Bus Service in Kamalanagar
Kamalanagar, 11 June 2016: CADC has procured two buses to introduce bus service within Kamalanagar town. At present only taxi service is available for the commuters of Kamalanagar town.
The private passenger service will face a competition with the introduction of the bus service. So far, passengers have to be at the mercy of the taxi service because of absence of any other service provider.The service will mark a new chapter in the chronicles of CADC’s development.
