CEM, CADC Met Chief Manager, SBI Regional Office, Aizawl

ย Kamalanagar, 14 July 2016: The CEM, CADC Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya met the Chief Manager, SBI Regional Office regarding the deplorable services of the SBI Branch, Chawngte.

The Chief Manager confirmed about the letter from CADC wherein various issues relating to the services provided by their Branch at Kamalanagar were raised for redress. He informed that on receipt of the letter he proceeded for Kamalanagar but had to return from Mualbu where his vehicle got stuck in the mud. He said he felt very sorry that he almost reached Kamalanagar but yet he did not make it because of the road condition. The CEM was told that all the point raised in the letter were seriously taken and accordingly measures have been initiated. He asked to report again if services donโ€™t get improved. CADC Authority and NGOs Reached A Consensus On The Various Demand Being Made By the NGOs

Kamalanagar, 14 July 2016: The CADC authority and the NGOs finally clinched a consensus over the various demands the NGOs (YCA and MCSU) have been pressing the CADC government to accede to.

Consensus was reached only after two meetings held for two consecutive days from 14/7/2016. The first meeting did not yield much of any significance. Chakma Council Dismisses The Apprehension Of MCSU and YCA

Kamalanagar, 10 July, 2016: Chakma Autonomous District Council dismisses the apprehension expressed by Mizoram Chakma Student Union and Young Chakma Association for having made about 40 appointments on contractual and MR basis as published in the Vanglaini (Issue dated 9/7/2016).

All the appointments so made so far are either on master roll or contractual basis. Making appointment on contractual and master roll basis, from time to time, according to needs, is a normal practice of any government. Such appointments are very temporary in nature and are done for time being. For instance some 11 persons have been engaged on master roll basis as sweepers for a pay of Rs.3000/- per month to maintain cleanliness of Kamalanagar town. 2 persons have been engaged on MR fixed basis in the ITI and Dawchuni cum Mineral water plant. Labourers under PWD are engaged from time to on the basis of requirement for a specific time period as and when there are civil works. The concerns of the NGOs are all unfounded. Continue reading

CADC To Introduce Town Bus Service in Kamalanagar

Kamalanagar, 11 June 2016: CADC has procured two buses to introduce bus service within Kamalanagar town. At present only taxi service is available for the commuters of Kamalanagar town.

The private passenger service will face a competition with the introduction of the bus service. So far, passengers have to be at the mercy of the taxi service because of absence of any other service provider.The service will mark a new chapter in the chronicles of CADCโ€™s development. CADC MDC LAD Fund Introduced

Kamalanagar, 11 June 2016: CADC MDC LAD fund has been introduced for the first time ever in CADC from this financial year. The scheme is also practiced at the state and central level.

This year Rs.20 Lakh has been earmarked under the scheme. Rs.8 Lakh has been already sanctioned. There are 20 MDC constituencies in CADC. Continue reading

25 KW Solar Power Plants Installed at CADC Cultural Hall

Kamalanagar, 23 May, 2016: A 25 KW solar power plant installed at CADC Cultural Hall was inaugurated today. Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC inaugurated the set up with much euphoria.

The power plant was installed by Zoram Energy Development Agency, Govt. of Mizoram. 90% of the project cost is born by MNRE and the rest is born by CADC. Two more such power plants will be installed very soon, one at CADC Rest House, Kamalanagar and the other at CADC New Secretariat. The total project cost is 3 Cr. Continue reading

Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma, MDC, Chakma Council Was Administered the Oath of Office

Kamalanagar, 10 May, 2016: Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma who was elected to 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council in the by-election to 10-Mandirasora MDC Constituency held on 28/4/2016 was administered the oath of office yesterday in the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Chawngte. Pu Lalfakzuala, SDO, Chawngte administered the oath of office.

BJP Wins the Mondirasora MDC By-election Under Chakma Council

Kamalanagar, 30 April 2016: The BJP won the Mondirasora MDC by-election of Chakma Autonomous District Council which was held day before yesterday. Three contestants were in the fray, one each from INC, BJP and MNF party. Dangu Onishmoy Chakma, Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma and Dangu Purna Chandra were the candidates for INC, BJP and MNF repectively. Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma secured 605 votes, Dangu Onish Moy Chakma 369 votes and Dangu Purna Chandra 180 votes. Continue reading

45th CADC Day Celebrated

Kamalanagar, 30 April 2016: The Chakma Autonomous District Council completed 44 years yesterday. On 1st April 1972 the Pawi-Lakher Autonomous Regional Council was trifurcated into Chakma, Lakher and Pawi Autonomous Regional Councils which were further upgraded into Autonomous District Councils on 29th April 1972. Chakma Council Budget Session 2016-17 Starts

Kamalanagar, 14 March 2016: Chakma Autonomous District Council today sat for the first sitting of the Budget Session 2016-17. The sitting discussed two unstarred questions and two starred questions. Two officials Bills namely CADC Group A & B Gazetted Service Ruleโ€™ 2016 and CADC Group B Non-Gazetted Post C & D Service Ruleโ€™ 2016 were introduced by the House Leader Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC.
