CEM CADC Attends 9th Edition of North East Students Festival in New Delhi

Kamalangar, 4 September 2026:The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), Shri Nirupam Chakma, attended the 9th Edition of the North East Students Festival as the Guest of Honour at Talkatora Stadium, New Delhi, today. The festival was organised by My Home India, an organisation committed to strengthening national integration and promoting greater understanding of the diverse cultures and communities of North East India.

Shri Nirupam Chakma was among the distinguished guests attending the festival and was felicitated by the Founder of My Home India, Shri Sunil Deodhar ji.

Addressing the gathering, the CEM expressed his gratitude to My Home India for inviting him to the important occasion and congratulated the organisation on completing 21 years of dedicated service. He appreciated the sustained efforts of My Home India in promoting the rich cultural heritage, talent and aspirations of the people of North East India through various programmes and initiatives, particularly the North East Students Festival.

Shri Chakma said that such platforms provide an important opportunity for students and young people from the North East to showcase their cultural diversity, interact with people from different parts of the country and contribute to strengthening the spirit of national unity and integration.

He particularly appreciated the role of My Home India in creating greater awareness about the North East among the people of the rest of the country and in providing students from the region with opportunities to connect, participate and excel.

The CEM conveyed his best wishes to My Home India for its continued journey and expressed hope that the organisation would further expand its programmes for the welfare, empowerment and integration of the youth of North East India.

The 9th North East Students Festival, being held at Talkatora Stadium, brings together students and young people from different parts of the North East, providing a vibrant platform for cultural exchange, talent, interaction and celebration of the region’s rich traditions and diversity.
