25 KW Solar Power Plants Installed at CADC Cultural Hall

Kamalanagar, 23 May, 2016: A 25 KW solar power plant installed at CADC Cultural Hall was inaugurated today. Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC inaugurated the set up with much euphoria.

The power plant was installed by Zoram Energy Development Agency, Govt. of Mizoram. 90% of the project cost is born by MNRE and the rest is born by CADC. Two more such power plants will be installed very soon, one at CADC Rest House, Kamalanagar and the other at CADC New Secretariat. The total project cost is 3 Cr. Continue reading →

SDO (C), Chawngte Visits Barkolok to Set Up an Amusement Park

Kamalanagar, 17 May, 2016: Yesterday, Sub-Divisional Officer of Chawngte RD Block, Pu Lalfakzuala, who is also the Block Development Officer, visited Borkolok in CADC to locate a site for setting up of an amusement park. Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma, MDC, Chakma Council Was Administered the Oath of Office

Kamalanagar, 10 May, 2016: Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma who was elected to 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council in the by-election to 10-Mandirasora MDC Constituency held on 28/4/2016 was administered the oath of office yesterday in the office of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Chawngte. Pu Lalfakzuala, SDO, Chawngte administered the oath of office.

BJP Wins the Mondirasora MDC By-election Under Chakma Council

Kamalanagar, 30 April 2016: The BJP won the Mondirasora MDC by-election of Chakma Autonomous District Council which was held day before yesterday. Three contestants were in the fray, one each from INC, BJP and MNF party. Dangu Onishmoy Chakma, Dangu Laxmi Bikash Chakma and Dangu Purna Chandra were the candidates for INC, BJP and MNF repectively. 45th CADC Day Celebrated

Kamalanagar, 30 April 2016: The Chakma Autonomous District Council completed 44 years yesterday. On 1st April 1972 the Pawi-Lakher Autonomous Regional Council was trifurcated into Chakma, Lakher and Pawi Autonomous Regional Councils which were further upgraded into Autonomous District Councils on 29th April 1972. Kamalanagar, 14 March 2016: Chakma Autonomous District Council today sat for the first sitting of the Budget Session 2016-17. The sitting discussed two unstarred questions and two starred questions. Two officials Bills namely CADC Group A & B Gazetted Service Rule’ 2016 and CADC Group B Non-Gazetted Post C & D Service Rule’ 2016 were introduced by the House Leader Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC. CEM, Chakma Council Celebrated Chakma National Day with the Chakmas of Myanmar

Kamalanagar, 14 January 2016: Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya, Chief Executive Member, Chakma Autonomous District Council has arrived yesterday from his visit to the Chakmas of Myanmar. He was invited to grace the celebration of the Chakma National Day on 7th January 2016 as its Chief Guest organized at Randaw of Arakan State of Myanmar. Indralal Chakma, MDC, CADC Passes Away (1964-2015)

Kamalanagar, 6 December 2015: Dangu Indralal Chakma a Member of Chakma Autonomous District Council breathed his last on 01/12/2015 at Indraprastha Appolo Hospital, Delhi after a long drawn fight with lung cancer. His mortal remains were brought back from Delhi on Saturday and cremated on the day itself.

He was elected to the 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council from 10-Mondirasora MDC constituency with MNF party ticket during the last MDC general Election held on 17/04/2013. Continue reading →

Four MDCs of Chakma Council Sworn-in as Executive Member

Kamalanagar, 20 November: The remaining four Executive Members of the new Executive Committee of Chakma Autonomous District Council were sworn-in today. With this the Executive Committee of CADC gets to full strength of eight members including the Chief Executive Member.

The MDCs who were sworn-in as Executive Member are Dangu Parimal Chakma, Dangu Buban Kumar Chakma, Dangu Amit Kumar Chakma and Dangu Purna Muni Chakma. They were appointed by His Excellency the Governor of Mizoram on recommendation of the new Chief Executive Member Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya. Continue reading →

CADC Full Budget Passed; CADC (Employees Pension Fund) Rules, 2015 Referred to Select Committee

Kamalanagar, 16 November: The CADC Full Budget 2015-16 was discussed and passed today in the third sitting of the Winter Session. The Budget was introduced in the first sitting of the Session held last Thursday by the House leader Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchagya, CEM, CADC.

The budget was earmarked by the state government for an amount of Rs.3860.00 Lakh under Non-plan and Rs.1921.33 Lakh under Plan as Normal Grant-in-aid. The projected Local Receipts is Rs.83.55 Lakh. The estimated expenditure of the Budget is Rs.4640.77 Lakh under Non-plan, Rs.2218.94 Lakh under Plan and Rs.83.55 under Local Receipt Fund which sums up to Rs.6943.26. Under the given circumstances there is a net budget deficit of Rs.1078.38 Lakh; Rs.780.77 Lakh under Non-plan and Rs.297.61 Lakh under Plan. The Budget deficit is hoped to be met out of Additional Grant on the approval of Revised Estimate 2015-16 in the later part of the fiscal year. Continue reading →
