Kamalanagar, 20 October, 2015: Dangu Dayal Chandra Chakma was elected today uncontested as Chairman, Chakma Autonomous District Council. The office of the Chairman was rendered vacant following the resignation tendered by Dangu Kali Kumar Tongchangya on 21 September 2015. Chakma Council Passed Budget on Vote on Account
Kamalanagar, 17 July, 2015: The Monsoon session of Chakma Autonomous District Council which started on 15th concluded today. The sitting discussed and voted the Vote on Account on estimate of expenditure for the period upto October, 2015.
The Vote on Account presented on the first sitting on 15th made an estimate for an expenditure of Rs.981.71 Lakh and Rs.1751.83 Lakh under plan and non-plan sector respectively. A lion share of the estimate of Rs.2658.87 Lakh is for payment of salary to staff. Only a meager Rs.74.67 Lakh is left for disposal to take up administrative and developmental activities.
Chakma Council Monsoon Session Starts
Kamalanagar, 15 July, 2015:The first session of the 9th ChakmaAutonomous District Council for the current fiscal year started today. The full budget could not be presented because of non-receipt of budgetary allocation from the state Government in full. The CEM, CADC opted for a Vote on Account on estimates of expenditure for the period April to Octoberโ 2015 for plan sector and for the period June to Octoberโ 2015 for Non-plan sector.

CADC Winter Session Concluded
Kamalanagar, November 24, 2014:The CADC Winter Session 2014-15 which started on 20th November 2014 concluded today with the passing of the Budget for this fiscal year.
The Budget mover Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma, CEM, CADC presented the Budget in the first sitting on Thursday. The budget made provision for an allocation of Rs.2406.95 Lakh under Plan Sector and Rs.3510.00 Lakh under normal Grants-in Aid, Non-Plan Sector. There is also an amount of Rs.52.18 Lakh earmarked for Local Bodies under LAD being Special Area Basic Grants. A projection of Rs.61.08 Lakh through collection of Local Receipt from various sources has been made.

CADC Emergency Session Called to Amend CADC Village Council Act
Kamalanagar, October 17, 2014:The Chakma Autonomous District Council in an emergency session today passed a Bill to amend the existing CADC Village Council Act. Dangu Buddhalila Chakma, CEM, CADC introduced the Bill in the house for discussion and voting.
Nominated Members of 9th Chakma ADC Sworn-In
Kamalanagar, October 14, 2014:In a notification dated 9.10.2014 of Government of Mizoram, the four nominated Members of the 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council namely Dangu Dhakmoni Tongchangya s/o Bilo Kumar Tongchangya of Vasetlang-I, Pu Lalsangliana s/o Sangleiala of Parva-III, Dangubi Sneha Maya w/o Sadhu Dhan of Borapansury-I and Dangubi Niharmala Chakma d/o Lokkhi Chandra Chakma of Kamalanagar-III have been appointed by the Governor of Mizoram with effect from 26.9.2014.
CADCโs Second โVote On Accountโ Passed
Kamalanagar, 24 July: The Second โVote on Accountโ of this financial year for expenditure of Chakma Autonomous District Council for four months from August to November which was presented by the Honโble CEM, Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma before the House in the first sitting of the Monsoon Session last Monday got passed today.
CADC Monsoon Sesssion Begins
Kamalanagar, 21 July: Monsoon Session 2014 of 9th Chakma Autonomous District Council started today with the Honโble Chief Executive Member Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma presenting the second โVote on Accountโ for expenditure of the Council for the next four months i.e. August to November. Projected expenditure under Plan sector was for an amount of Rs.469.00 lakhs and Rs.1170.06 lakhs ย under Non-plan sector of normal grant-in-aid.
CADC Budget Session Conludes
Kamalanagar, 28 March:The CADC Budget Session which had its first sitting on 24th March concluded today with its second sitting. The Budget mover Honโble CEM, CADC Dangu Buddha Lila Chakma besides the Demand for Grants (Budget Estimates), 2014-15, placed the Supplementary Demand for the year 2013-14 and sought a Vote on Account on the Budget Estimates, 2014-15 to meet the essential expenditure for the first quarter period of the fiscal year. The regular Budget, he said, shall be passed at a later date when the Planning Commission finalizes the State Annual Plan of Mizoram for 2014-15.
