4 Executive Members of CADC Tendered Resignation
Kamalanagar, 24 April 2017: In a turn for a new political development four Executive Members of Chakma Autonomous District Council resigned from their office today. There are eight Executive Members including the Chief Executive Members. The reason for their resignation is yet to be ascertained but it is believed the move is to install a new CEM.
Tourist Lodge At Kamalanagar Handed Over To CADC
Kamalanagar, 7 April 2017: Pu V. Lalremthanga, Secretary, Tourism, Government of Mizoram who arrived Kamalanagar today at about 9 am handed over the charge for management of the Tourist Lodge owned by government of Mizoram located at Kamalanagar-4 to CADC represented by Dg. Purnendu Bikash Chakma, Executive Secretary, CADC.
Tourist Lodge At Kamalanagar Will Be Handed Over To CADC
Kamalanagar, 30 March 2017: The Tourist Lodge Kamalanagar owned by the Govt. of Mizoram will be handed over to CADC on lease for a monthly rent of Rs.2000/- and will be managed by CADC. The term of the lease is for a period of 10 years. An agreement towards this has been already signed.
CADC Full Budget, 2017-18 Passed
Kamalanagar, 22 March 2017: Dg. Kali Kumar Tongchangya, CEM, CADC presented the full Budget Estimates for the financial year 2017-18 in the third sitting of the Session held on 20th March 2017 for an earmarked allocation of Rs.2001.67 lakh under state planning and Rs5373.90 lakh under Mizoram Finace Commission (MFC) Grants.
Besides, Rs.141.82 lakh was earmarked as Village Council Remuneration under MFC Grants. The Budget was passed on fourth sitting held on 23/3/2017.
Borapansury-I VC Dissolved
Kamalanagar, March 10, 2017: A notification issued on 10th March 2017 dissolved the Borapansury-I Village Council for the second time after the previous dissolution order of CADC was quashed by the Gauhati High Court Aizawl Bench while stating that reasonable opportunity was not accorded to the village council for explanation.
Re-assessment Of Lands Affected By IBBF Successfully Completed
Kamalanagar, 8 March 2017: Reassessment of lands affected by Indo-Bangla Border Fencing for the portion covering four villages of Chhotapansury, Gulsingbapsora, Nagdarasora and Gerakuluksora was completed successfully with the co-operations of the villagers. The assessment process was all peaceful and no incidents of protest was reported.

Five Houses In Bazar Area Of Borapansury Gutted to Ashes By Fire Accident
Borapansury, 4 March 2017: Five families were rendered homeless in a fire accident of Bazar area of Borapansury. Nothing could be salvaged out of the raging inferno. Properties worth some 50 Lakhs were destroyed and turned to ashes. However, no lose of life was reported. Two of the victims had businesses, one dealing in drugs and another in hardware.The incident occurred at about 6 pm on the fateful evening of 4th March. The accident is suspected to have originated from a power short circuit.
Showcause Notice Served To Borapansury-I Village Council
Kamalanagar, 4 March 2017: Following the verdict of the Gauhati High Court, Aizawl Bench declaring the dissolution order of the Village Council of Borapansury-I null and void while restoring its status, the CADC authority served a show cause notice to the village council on the charges of irregularities, corruption and misappropriation of public money.
