This decision was made in exercise of powers under Paragraph 16(2) read with Paragraph 20-BB of the Sixth Schedule to the Constitution of India, following the Governor&#8217;s assessment of frequent shifts in political allegiance and the pending results of an Inquiry Commission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor\u2019s Rule is extended for another period of six months or until further order, effective from January 7, 2026.
