Kamalanagar, 16 June 2025: <\/strong>The Chakma Autonomous District Council, in a Special Session held today at the CADC Session Hall, Kamalanagar, passed a No-Confidence Motion against the incumbent Executive Committee led by the Chief Executive Member, Shri Molin Kumar Chakma. The session was presided over by the Chairman of the Council, Shri Lakkhan Chakma.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The motion was moved by Zoram People\u2019s Movement (ZPM) member and elected MDC from 15-Rengkashya Constituency, Shri Doymoy Daveng Chakma, citing the CEM\u2019s loss of the confidence of the majority members of the House as the reason necessitating a change in leadership.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The motion was subsequently taken up for discussion, during which several members participated, and was then put to vote. Out of the 17 elected members present and voting, 15 voted in favour of the motion, 1 voted against it, and the lone MNF MDC, Shri Rasik Mohan Chakma, abstained from voting.
