Kamalanagar, 17 February 2025:<\/strong> The Chief Executive Member (CEM) of Chakma Autonomous District Council (CADC), Dg. Molin Kumar Chakma, has successfully proved his majority on the floor of the house during the Vote of Confidence (Floor Test) held today in the Session Hall of the District Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Vote of Confidence was brought in the house pursuant to the notification issued by the Chairman, CADC, in compliance with the Government of Mizoram Notification No. A.43016\/3\/2018-DC&MA (C) dated 31st January 2025, which mandated the vote of confidence to be taken up within 30 days from the date of appointment of the Chief Executive Member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The confidence motion having been introduced in the house was discussed extensively by the members and put to vote. The members expressed their hope to see a stable Executive Committee that would work for the welfare of the people of CADC. The opposition benches reiterated their commitment to playing the role of a constructive opposition, by which they would hold the Executive Committee accountable but would extend their full cooperation if its policies are beneficial for the people of CADC. 14 councillors voted in favour of the motion, 3 voted against, while 2 members remained absent.
