Gen. V. K. Singh, the Hon’ble Governor of Mizoram has assumed all powers and functions of CADC vide Notification No. A.43016\/3\/2023-DC&MA(C)\/Pt. dated Aizawl the 7th<\/sup> July 2025<\/a> which was extended for further six months vide vide Notification No. A.43016\/3\/2023-DC&MA (C) dated Aizawl the 12th January 2026<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n

\"\"<\/a>Ordinarily, the Executive Powers of the District Council rests with the Executive Committee of the District Council, which is headed by a Chief Executive Member. His position in the Executive is akin to that of the Chief Minister or Prime Minister and the Executive Committee to that of the Cabinet at Centre or State. Normally the leader of the majority party gets elected as the Chief Executive Member. However, the post has to be contested through election.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
